Full-time locum positions are often available in most specialties. If you are interested in working in New Zealand as a locum please contact one of the ASMS industrial staff at our national office. We may know of positions that have not been advertised.
Requirements to Practice in NZ
Medical and Dental Registration in New Zealand
Before you may practice medicine in New Zealand you must be registered by the Medical Council of New Zealand
("the MCNZ").
The MCNZ will normally register New Zealand and Australian medical graduates without delay or restrictions. However, if your primary medical degree is from a country other than New Zealand or Australia you should contact the MCNZ or DCNZ in the first place to establish your eligibility for registration to practice in this country.
