Job Description By joining us, you will be part of an exciting and innovative multidisciplinary team which is comprised of two exciting and developing services: The Child & Adolescent Liaison Service (CALS) provides assessments, reports, consultation and clinical services to young people presenting with a range of complex mental health issues, and who are involved with Child Youth & Family (Child Welfare) Services. We also provide mental health services for children and adolescents at the secure care and protection facility in South Auckland. The Regional Youth Forensic Service (RYFS) provides consultation, assessments, Court ordered reports, Court based Liaison Services, and short focused interventions for young offenders presenting to the youth justice system with mental health issues. We also provide mental health services for adolescent residents at the secure youth justice facility in South Auckland.

You will contribute to the delivery of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, allowing you to thrive professionally in providing your clinical expertise and knowledge to most areas of young people's mental health. CALS/RYFS has a strong commitment to collaboration between young person, family, staff, and other services.

Opportunities exist for interagency liaison, training, and to contribute to ongoing service development. The CALS/RYFS team is based at the Kari Centre (CAMHS) on Greenlane Clinical Centre campus, and covers the wider Auckland region.

This position is full time, working 40 hours per week. If successful, you will also be involved in our on call roster of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists from across the Auckland region. At present there are a good number of consultants involved so this need not be greatly demanding.
