New Greymouth hospital and family health centre on track for mid-2018 completion

A new $77.8 million hospital on the South Island’s West Coast is set to be finished mid-next year, a Ministry of Health project manager says.

The new centre, next to the current Grey Base Hospital, will have 56 patient beds, three operating theatres, a 24/7 emergency department, a critical care unit, acute and planned surgical services, a maternity ward and outpatient care.
